From the Pastor
I recently came across a church sign with the following words on it, "Be humbly grateful, not grumbly hateful."
As I pondered that saying it brought to mind Paul's call to us in I Thessalonians 5:16-18 where we read, "Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus."
With the problems and cares of our economy, with the uncertainty of our job market, with the threats of terrorism and violence on the increase, it is so easy to lose sight of the difference our faith in Jesus Christ should and must make when we look around at what is happening 'out there'.
The 'world' is so often controlled by day-to-day cares and problems and ends up being 'grumbly hateful'.
We, as believers in Jesus Christ can and should and must always be, 'humbly grateful' because we have The Holy Spirit living within and therefore have all we need to live life in complete and total victory.
Live up to the promises of God's Word and you WILL, "Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus."
Make EVERY day a day of rejoicing because you are living in power and strength because of your faith in Jesus Christ as your personal Savior and Lord.
